Story

A premium womenswear label with sustainability at its core. GAIA was founded in 2018 as an alternative for women wanting a versatile and refined wardrobe, without compromising on ethics. GAIA’s signature combines relaxed silhouettes, novel proportions and clean lines, with precise detailing and premium-quality natural fabrics. The result is an understated, sophisticated wardrobe that speaks to the stylish yet discerning woman.

Designed with longevity in mind, the collection is made up of contemporary staples with a strong sense of modernity. Timeless essentials are stripped back and reimagined, assuming fresh shapes and unique design details. Taking cues from traditional menswear sensibilities, GAIA steps away from current trends and opts instead for enduring style, creating adaptable and functional pieces to be worn and loved for seasons to come.

Sustainability

Materials
We use GOTS and Oeko-Tex certified organic cotton across all of our knit and woven cotton range. Our wool and peace silk has been grown, spun and woven in the UK, and our vegetable tanned leather is responsibly sourced and tanned in Europe. We use cupro as a sustainable alternative to polyester for all of our linings.

As well as being sustainably produced, our fabric range is of the highest-quality, enhancing the luxe feel of our collections. The natural fibres and minimised use of toxic chemicals also means that when the garment eventually reaches the end of its life, it will biodegrade naturally causing minimal harm to the environment.

Manufacture
Produced in small quantities to minimise waste, the collections are designed and made by hand in our UK studio. We only outsource to select local factories and work closely with them to ensure our high-quality construction and ethical standards are met.
